AQUA PLANET, AQUA FUN
It is now July but the heat keeps on lingering in my tropical country. Fortunately, we had an opportunity to take a splash at Aqua Planet. My uncle and cousins who came from the United States wanted to spend time with the family and decided to treat us to the waterpark.
Aqua Planet is the biggest waterpark here in the Philippines consisting of 38 slides and attractions. The park is complete aside from the rides and pools, they have shower rooms, food stalls, cabanas, and souvenir shops.
Here is the list of Aqua Planet’s Rides and Attractions:
- Aqua Loop
- Wave Pool
- Sky Shuttle
- Flow Rider
- Wave River
- Hurricane Slide
- Tornado Slide
- Octopus Racer
- Kiddie Zone
- Boogie Bay
- Mermaid Bay
- Spiral Slide
- Bubble Base
- Orc Lagoon
We arrived at the park before the 10 A.M. opening and the line is long but the admission and staff is well organized so we entered with ease. Upon entering, everyone is required to wear their “Planet Band” which serves as your ticket and also your e-wallet since cash is not accepted in their stores. The park is very huge and colorful. Their slides are painted in rainbow colors. There are also a lot of tables and chairs as well as Cabanas. At first, I thought I am okay with just taking a dip into the pool and experiencing their relaxing wave river but my family and relatives wanted to experience it, so I joined them.
RIDE AND SLIDE
The first ride/slide that I tried is the Sky Shuttle. I avoided thinking of fear so there was no problem for me during the line, but when I experienced the steep slide down and then the slide upward, this time I felt the adrenaline and the dizziness. After that, I thought I should be beside the pool and relaxing. Haha. But my cousins still want more, so to bond with them, I joined. This time we tried the ride called “Tornado”. Same with Sky Shuttle but this time I got dizzier. Some tried it again but for me, once is enough. Don’t get me wrong, these rides are fun but the dizziness is the one that I don’t like.
The ride that I really liked is the long slide called “Bubble Base”. It is a slide where you need to ride a sliding sled. You will lie down looking at the front, with your chest resting on the sled. Then you will push yourself into the slide with your feet. It was very fun, especially the steep part of the slide and I tried it twice.
We tried another attraction, this time a relaxed one, the Wave River. We just rode a floater and let ourselves flow along with the current. Just take note that sometimes a small wave will be released.
PLANET BAND
As for the food, since everything should be paid using the Planet Band and we haven’t loaded it at the entrance. We looked for reloading machines inside the park. We found one near the food stalls and it was easy to use. Just select the amount you want to load, tap your band, then insert your cash. Upon ordering you’ll be asked by the staff to tap your band. The downside is there is no way to have your change, so make sure you either insert the right amount or use all the amount you entered. I’m not sure if you can ask for the change at the entrance but if you know let us know in the comments below.
We ended our visit to Aqua Planet by staying at the wave pool and listening to the music played by the DJs. And lastly, some pictures to capture the moments. We haven’t tried all the rides but I’m sure everyone will like Aqua Planet, especially the kids. If you want to chill or have some adrenaline rush in the summer, Aqua Planet is the place to be.
